New features of O365 – Workplace Analytics & Communication Sites
We looked at and discussed two new areas of O365 during our Aug. 29 meeting.
Workplace Analytics and Communication Sites recently rolled out to O365 customers. Both new features can be leveraged to help an organization’s digital workplace run in a more modern and efficient way.
Joe Cromer, Director of Portals & Collaboration at DEG, shared his views on Microsoft’s new Workplace Analytics.
Workplace Analytics is fundamentally a personal, web dashboard in 365 that analyzes eight core data points. It’s also an Outlook add-in that is automatically installed. See how efficient your being with your time in meetings, viewing and replying to your work email, and more. View Joe’s Workplace Analytics presentation.
Marjie Goodman, Content and Collaboration Strategist at DEG, demoed the new Communication Sites. She showed how quickly and easily a non-IT employee can create modern web pages with new web parts, like the Hero and News web parts.
She said she saw potential in using Communication Sites out of the box for many companies, especially for content owners who needs to design and publish content directly to the intranet swiftly and beautifully.
